It has been over one year since the release of Deathloop and an impressive five million players have taken part in this unique title. In the game, the player is placed in a time loop and is tasked with assassinating multiple leaders. Since its launch, Deathloop has received many awards.

One of the most highly-anticipated video games of 2021, Deathloop, has been met with positive reviews due to its engaging gameplay and immersive world-building. Arkane Studios, the developers of the iconic Dishonored games, is behind the project, which was a major draw to many fans. With the upcoming release of Redfall later this year, the studio is hoping to build on its success and add yet another great title to its roster.

An amazing landmark was shared on Twitter by the Deathloop account – five million gamers have experienced the game since its launch. Players expressed their appreciation to the developer for the release of the game. It’s a remarkable accomplishment for the title and, although it is unconfirmed if the figures account for Xbox Game Pass players, it probably does. With Bethesda’s acquisition by Microsoft, the game became available through Xbox Game Pass late last year, making it more accessible to gamers.

In a recent post, the Deathloop account shared some remarkable figures about players’ in-game activities. It was revealed that enough bullets have been shot to cover the planet 3.2 times, with Updaam being the most lethal area with 35,548,435 deaths in total. Although the number may seem staggering, it is proportionally logical when considering the five million players. Even so, the figures are still remarkable.

It has been nearly 18 months since the release of Deathloop, and enthusiasts of the game are already longing for more from Arkane Studios. Rumors surfaced a few months ago that a sequel was being constructed, yet these have yet to be verified. If the recent player achievement is any indication, Deathloop has done admirably, especially for an all-new IP, which is often a gamble in an industry dominated by sequels and remakes.

Deathloop is now playable on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
