Blizzard has revealed the open beta and early access dates for the anticipated action RPG Diablo 4, which will be available from the 24th to the 26th of March. This news comes only a few months before the full version of Diablo 4 is set to be released, and at a somewhat tumultuous time for the company.
At a Zoom meeting hosted by Blizzard President Mike Ybarra, the majority of the company’s members of staff left feeling disheartened and angry. Several employees made use of social media to express their dissatisfaction and accused Ybarra and other Activision Blizzard executives of being out of touch. The launch of Diablo 4 is set for a few months from now and World of Warcraft: Dragonflight achieved success due to being a work-from-home project. It is uncertain how the backlash will affect the business and the beta and early access periods for Diablo 4.
The Diablo 4 open beta is scheduled to take place from March 24 through 26, though those who pre-ordered the game can look forward to exclusive early access from the 17th to the 19th. This information was disclosed during IGN Fan Fest, as previously suggested by Rod Fergusson, the general manager for the Diablo series. Alongside this was a thrilling trailer depicting Horadrim’s battle against Lilith, a major antagonist and the daughter of Mephisto from Diablo 2. Players in the open beta will be able to play the prologue and the first act, with a level cap of 25. Further information about the game’s systems and the open beta will be revealed on Tuesday, February 28 during a Diablo 4 developer stream at 11:00 AM PST.

The open beta of Diablo 4 is occurring with a short two months until the game’s set launch of June 6th. Other releases such as Final Fantasy 16 in the same month may cause concern that Blizzard will shift the date of the game’s full release. We will have to wait and observe the player feedback during the beta to find out.
Fans of Diablo won’t have to wait much longer for something to do as Season 28 of Diablo 3 is set to commence on Friday, February 24. This could be the last full season of the game before Diablo 4 is released, so players can look forward to plenty of loot and demon slaying. With two games to explore, Diablo players will soon have their hands full.
The highly anticipated Diablo 4 will be available on June 6th, for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
