Players of Hogwarts Legacy can access exclusive content on their PSN account to show off which house they are a part of or which magical creature they like the best. All that needs to be done is to complete a few simple tasks and participants will receive free PS5 avatars, enter a sweepstakes for a chance to win the Hogwarts Legacy Collector’s Edition, and possibly even a brand-new PS5 console. Syncing up Pottermore accounts with the game will also allow players to transfer their house.
Hogwarts Legacy was officially made available on February 10th, although those who purchased the deluxe edition could start playing it three days earlier. In a mere week since its release, the game has already set sales records and surpassed the first-week UK sales numbers of the 2022 Game of the Year Elden Ring. This is only physical copies sold, as digital sales are yet to be revealed. With 850,000 concurrent players on Steam, it’s apparent that the game is widely popular. Thus, it’s only logical that Hogwarts Legacy would create content to connect players and let them show what they have achieved.
At Playstation.com’s Hogwarts Legacy page, fans can join the Hogwarts Legacy House Cup. By signing in with a PSN account, gamers gain access to mini-game tasks. When they complete a task, they will be rewarded with avatars they can redeem in the PS Store. Players choose a house and compete with others, amassing points by completing four tasks. This also unlocks the house crest avatars. Eventually, two winners of the sweepstakes will be chosen, one from the US and the other from the UK.
The time period to take part in the competition has already started and will end on February 22 at 11:59 pm ET. According to the PlayStation Hogwarts Legacy House Cup Sweepstakes regulations, the winners will be determined on or soon after the entry window ends with a random selection that will take from all qualified entries.
At this time, Slytherin house is ahead and, with no Dumbledore around to grant some extra points, it appears like they will be the dominant victors – although, it has not been suggested that the house will receive any reward for coming first. It has only been clarified that the two winning participants of the draw will obtain the PS5 and the Hogwarts Legacy Collector’s Edition.
On February 10th, Hogwarts Legacy can be acquired for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. The game will be available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on April 4th.
