Gotham Knights Offers New Expansion for Computers and Game Systems

Hero of Gotham Knights

WB Games Montreal has just issued a patch for Gotham Knights across all platforms that fixes a variety of technical problems. It is recommended for console gamers to apply the update for access to features that were initially meant to be available at launch. Gotham Knights players should take advantage of this opportunity.

Following the demise of Batman and Commissioner Gordon in Gotham Knights, the DC Comics game developed by WB Games Montreal after 2013’s Batman: Arkham Origins, Gotham City is plagued by villainy. Players take on the roles of Nightwing, Red Hood, Batgirl, and Robin to protect the inhabitants of the city. With many notorious villains emerging, the Court of Owls is the most menacing force. Feedback from players has been mixed due to the game’s technical issues and narrative problems, yet a recent update appears to have alleviated some of the major bugs.

WB Games Montreal has released a new update for Gotham Knights with controller-specific features for the console versions and various bug fixes for the PC version. PlayStation 5 gamers can take advantage of the DualSense controller’s haptic feedback and adaptive triggers while playing. For instance, players can sense tension in the DualSense’s adaptive triggers when using Precision Aim or controlling the Batcycle. Moreover, the update also modifies controller rumble support for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. After implementing the update, console players should experience more precise rumbling from their controllers while travelling with the Batcycle and grappling.

Players of the PC version of Gotham Knights can now benefit from a range of bug fixes, covering game crashes, lack of audio effects, graphical issues, and UI problems. The patch should also reduce the impact of post-processing and asset rendering on CPU and GPU performance. Furthermore, a GPU driver check has been added, letting people make sure their Intel, AMD, or Nvidia drivers are compatible with and up to date for the PC edition of Gotham Knights.

Since Gotham Knights had a difficult launch in October, multiple technical updates have been necessary for the PC version. Furthermore, this latest update has taken care of the absence of DualSense features, which should have been included from the start. Further updates are probably to follow.

When creating new updates for Gotham Knights and their upcoming DC Comics game, WB Games Montreal should keep in mind the comments and suggestions of their players. This feedback is indispensable in order to deliver the optimal gaming experience when the game finally launches.

PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S gamers can now get their hands on Gotham Knights.
