Overwatch 2 Unveils Various Personas of Amaterasu Kiriko

Overwatch 2 Season 3 New Mythic Amaterasu Kiriko

Activision Blizzard has unveiled a special cosmetic option for Overwatch 2 hero Kiriko, Amaterasu. This Mythic skin provides players with various different visual styles to pick from. Overwatch 2 came with a vast amount of aesthetic options as all the skins from the original game were carried over. Still, each season brings more, with the current Season 3 featuring the Mythic Kiriko.

Activision Blizzard recently announced details about the upcoming content in Overwatch 2 Season 3, which will be starting tomorrow. Among the new offerings is the Mythic Kiriko skin, which gives players a lot of customization options not seen in previous seasons, such as Genji in Season 1 and Junker Queen in Season 2. It is an impressive addition that makes Season 3 stand out compared to the others.

Recently, the Overwatch Twitter account posted a series of clips to mark the arrival of Season 3, which is scheduled to launch on February 7. The videos highlighted the new Antarctica Peninsula control map and the battle pass content. Additionally, one video focused on Amaterasu Kiriko and her three distinct looks, which were first revealed in the Overwatch 2 Season 3 trailer. The clip also featured scenes of the launch hero in action and using her ultimate ability, while showcasing her yellow, purple, and red looks from different angles.

Offering three distinct shades, the Amaterasu Kiriko skin gives gamers additional choices that they would not have with other skins. As Overwatch 2 is likely to implement a battle pass system, players will have to obtain tier levels by playing multiple games to unlock the Mythic skin and its color variants. Besides the Kiriko Mythic, gamers may also acquire cosmetics for Junkrat, Moira, Reaper and more, which is an extension of the original game and its two major content patches of its sequel.

As Overwatch 2’s Season 2 and Season 1’s Mythic Genji rewarded battle pass owners with one-of-a-kind skins, Amaterasu Kiriko could possibly bring in more enthusiasts considering its custom build. With the arrival of Season 3 tomorrow, players may observe an ever-increasing number of Amaterasu Kiriko characters in multiplayer matches as more followers get the Mythic skin and select their preferred version.

The first installment of Overwatch is now accessible for a variety of platforms, such as PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
