Soon to Arrive: Trailer for Destiny 2: Lightfall Strand

Fighter from Destiny 2

Bungie has nearly finished preparing a trailer for Destiny 2, where the focus is on the novel Strand subclasses and the specific roles they serve in combat. This set of abilities, connected to the Darkness, could be used by Guardians for remarkable new features, such as a grappling hook. This might be a way for Bungie to revolutionize its ability systems.

The release of the Destiny 2: Lightfall expansion has been met with much excitement, especially surrounding its new six-man activity. However, the Strand element of the expansion is the most important aspect and is likely to be the defining feature, just as Stasis was for Beyond Light. Bungie’s Destiny community is eager to learn more about the abilities that Strand brings.

As the launch of Lightfall is set for February 28, Bungie is steadily increasing the promotion of Destiny 2 via a series of reveal trailers. On February 7, the company is going to release another trailer which will provide players more information regarding Strand and how it is going to be connected to the game’s new combat abilities. Fans know that they will be able to summon and displace enemies, but the upcoming trailer should give a better idea of what is to come.

It is advisable to temper one’s anticipation, as the new Strand trailer is likely to be analogous to the brief Destiny 2: Lightfall Exotic showcase. Rather than revealing every piece of unique content that the expansion will bring, Bungie appears to be more invested in establishing the atmosphere of Lightfall and letting players uncover the surprises for themselves when the DLC launches in late February.

It’s worth noting that not all things in [Destiny 2] are flawless. Some Hunters have expressed their dissatisfaction with the Strand Exotic. This helmet reinforces the Hunter’s domination in PvP, yet offers no real utility for PvE. It is yet to be determined if Bungie will modify the Exotic helmet before its release, however, for the time being, things don’t appear too bright for Hunters.

In the meantime, it’s not unexpected for Destiny 2 to not leave the other subclasses behind just because a new one is coming. There are plenty of fresh Exotics to be seen, with one of the highlights being the Winterbite glaive as the heavy Exotic. It is yet to be seen if it will have the same difficulties that the Salvation’s Grip has, but it should be fascinating no matter what.

The latest version of Destiny 2 has arrived, and it can be played on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
